China Occupied Kashmir is a very good reason why India has no obligations to Pakistan or anybody about Plebescite in kashmir or self-determination in Kashmir. By unilaterally and without the consulation of any Kashmiris, Pakistan gifted parts of J&K to china and hence it has lost any locus standi in Kashmiri matters.

Though the Chinese had planned to 'teach a lesson' to India (for being the lackeys of the Imperialists, which India was not at all).

The 1962 war was possible only because China had meticulously planned the operation from 1950 onwards (by building strategic roads, Aksai Chin being one of these roads). Work on the Aksai Chin highway started in the early 1950"s (A few years after China had started the illegal and forcible occupation of neighbouring Tibet in 1950 ) and according to TIME magazine an Indian patrol party from our Military Intelligence accidently stumbled on this when they were taken prisoner by the occupying Chinese forces and then released very magnanimously.

According to military experts this highway conneting Sinkiang with Tibet was chosen through Aksai Chin not only for its strategic and logical location but also for the ease of construction of a metal road on a relatively flat, very sparsely uninhabitated desert plateau which is what Aksai Chin is all about.
